For local anesthesia by percutaneous infiltration, peripheral nerve blockade(s) and central neural blockade(s) (caudal or epidural), that is used by specialist in situations where prolonged anesthesia is required. Since sensory nerve blockade is more significant than motor blockade, bupivacaine is particularly effective in relieving pain, such as during childbirth.
